The C-CREO (College and Career Readiness & Educational Opportunities) Gear Up Program, managed by the Santa Cruz County School Superintendent’s Office, is preparing the next generation to succeed in post-secondary education. We realize that in order to lift our students, and our community, enrollment and completion of a post-secondary program is the investment with the greatest return.

The Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) initiative is one of the largest and most effective programs focused on increasing the college and career readiness of students in communities nationwide. Currently, GEAR UP serves over 560,000 students enrolled in over 3,525 secondary schools across 45 states.
